Dr. Michael Witteler has particular expertise in the areas of corporate data protection law, pension law and canon labor law.

He advises companies with regard to personal employee data, for example in connection with compliance investigations. He also supports companies in drafting and negotiating works agreements with respect to the implementation of data processing equipment and software.

Apart from individual matters of pension law, Dr. Michael Witteler is widely experienced in restructuring company pension schemes and in dealing with entitlements to company pension schemes in connection with transactions.

Furthermore, Dr. Witteler has special knowledge in the field of canon labor law. He has years of experience in advising religious institutions in all matters of individual and collective labor law.

He is a regular speaker on topics related to labor law and data protection.  In May 2013 Dr. Michael Witteler was appointed as an honorary judge at the Labor Court in Berlin.
